October 2009 Students of the Month

Kathryn Anderson Daughter of Carol and Charlie Anderson and Carolyn Wilson Daughter of Joe and Mary Wilson are the Owatonna Rotary Club Students of the Month for October.

Shirwa Mohamed son of Shamso Omar is the Rotary Club's Top Team Student of the Month.

All three students are seniors at Owatonna High School.

Anderson has participated in Gymnastics, Student Council, Peer Helpers, National Honor Society, Diving, Track and Choir at the Owatonna High School. She has also been active at church as a Youth Worship Leader, Mission Trip and Organizer and Leader.  In the community she has helped with Adopt a Highway program, Blessings day and Student Council carnival.

Wilson has participated in Student Council, Choir, Theatre and Band at the Owatonna High School.  She has been active at church in the Music Ministry and Cantor on Sundays.  She has also been involved in dance.

Mohamed has participated in YSL, SHOC, Key Club, Basketball and Track at Owatonna High School.   

All three students attended weekly Rotary Club Luncheons at the Owatonna Country Club and received special recognition at the October 26^th luncheon. 

The Owatonna Rotary Club meets Mondays at 12:10 PM at the Owatonna Country Club.
